Control Systems & Automation
Pumps, thrusters, HVAC, hydraulics and machinery all depend on control circuits. We troubleshoot and rebuild relay logic, PLC-based cabinets, VFD drives and operator interfaces so equipment starts, stops and protects itself the way it was designed to.

What's included
Prism Marine Electric provides control systems & automation for yachts, superyachts and sportfish vessels in Fort Lauderdale and throughout Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade County — dockside, at anchor or during a yard period. Licensed, insured and available 24/7, with worldwide travel for vessels under our care.
- Relay logic and terminal strip troubleshooting
- PLC cabinet diagnostics and rewiring
- VFD installation and configuration (Schneider, ABB)
- Start/stop stations, interlocks and safety circuits
- HMI and touchscreen control replacement
- As-built drawing updates and cabinet labeling
Our method
Automation faults are rarely the software — they're a chafed wire, a failed relay, a loose ferrule or a sensor reading out of range. We work the circuit from the print, then correct the print when the vessel no longer matches it.
We stock and specify industrial-grade components from Schneider and ABB rather than consumer substitutes, so drives and controls survive vibration, heat and humidity in a machinery space.
Signs it's time to call
- Pumps or thrusters that start intermittently
- A drive faulting on overcurrent or undervoltage
- Controls that work in one mode but not another
- Cabinets with undocumented past modifications
